AXIS MUNDI – the world axis or world tree – is an in-depth training in ancestral and contemporary shamanism for beginners, advanced and professional practitioners. You learn tools for your self-practice, as well as advanced techniques for your professional use. Above all, you discover and refine your own shamanic cosmology and craft, instead of following a given protocol or system. You explore and deepen your very own ways of conscious living, spiritual practice, and ritual facilitation. You receive personal guidance and supervision from Israel, Katharina, as well as the ancestors and spirit guides working with and through them.
This is the living tradition of an ancient spiritual path that spans the world, not a fast-track certificate. Walking with the Sacred takes time and commitment. AXIS MUNDI is your invitation to step onto a path of healing, purpose, and service. A path that is embedded in ancestral traditions and open to everyone from all walks of life.

We gather in person for six extended weekends annually. The modules are rooted in the rhythm of the Earth and their themes are anchored in seasonal wisdom. Dates align with the Wheel of the Year, drawing on the power of the ancient festivals when the veils between worlds are thin.
2 different ways of experiencing shamanism
Each extended weekend module includes:
› 1-2 days of immersive workshop for self-experience
› 2-3 additional days of in-depth training to deepen and refine your skills
Immersive workshops are an experiential exploration and grounded in Israel’s and Katharina’s own living craft. They offer direct self-experiences, wisdom teachings, practical exercises, and space for your own growth and insight.

› Looking for a container to deepen your own healing, inner transformation and spiritual path

In-depth trainings focus on your skill development and inner mastery. They include advanced teachings and techniques from different shamanic traditions (Curanderismo, Seidr, Celtic, Mongolian, and core shamanism). Much space is given to your own ritual work and facilitation practice. And all is embedded in personal growth, integrity, and safety.
They are for you if you are:
› Wanting to step into your own sacred work, irrespective of your tradition and spiritual path
› Called to walk the shamanic path more deeply - for your personal or professional use

AXIS MUNDI is a cyclical way of learning, applying, and deepening – not hierarchic or linear. All modules repeat annually, allowing you to choose the depth and move at your own pace. Join for a few week-ends, the full year, or walk the wheel again and again as you deepen your path.
Irrespective if you are simply curious, or already a shamanic practitioner, witch, energy worker, holistic healer, or therapist. No matter if you are a committed beginner or experienced shaman, if you are on a spiritual path or an intellectual atheist. Choose the path you wish to walk:
GAIA – Independent workshops or modules
› Immersive workshop(s) only: 1-2 days on week-end
› Individual module(s): 4-5 days
POLARIS – Full annual cycle
› Commitment to all six modules: each 4-5 days
› Annual virtual container with preparation & integration calls for each module and follow-ups in-between
› 4x 60min 1:1 sessions for supervision (starting in year #2)
Beginners curious about shamanic work can choose whichever immersive workshops and full modules they want to join. With deep commitment, they can also directly opt for the full annual cycle.
Most modules do not require prior knowledge to explore their themes for the first time. The exception to this are the foundational and advanced shamanic healing practices - they do require a solid basis in communicating with Spirit and ritual work (which is therefore taught earlier in the year). It is still possible to participate in them as a beginner though, often having the opportunity to receive healing when the more advanced practitioners get to practice!
Participants with prior knowledge are welcome to join individual modules through GAIA, or the full annual cycle within POLARIS.
The practitioner path within POLARIS usually takes a minimum of 2-3 years, often longer depending on the depth and mastery required to serve. The cyclical nature of the modules allows you to go deeper every year, expanding your knowledge, practice, and consciousness. To develop a comprehensive tool kit, and focus on nurturing your specific gifts simultaneously.
The sacred container of AXIS MUNDI is by no means limited to Israel's and Katharina's way of working. It is curated to enable and empower you to walk your own path - however this may unfold for you. You receive the guidance you need from your own Spirit guides through rituals, ceremonies, and mediumship encounters - coupled with the human support from Israel and Katharina.
KATHARINA is a Seidkona (wise woman) and Völva (seeress) who walks the path of the shaman since three decades. Her own practice is deeply rooted in Seidr, the Northern European ancestral traditions with strong animistic and shamanic roots. For more than 20 years she trained with wisdom keepers across Europe, Peru, Mongolia, and Canada, and has an in-depth background in core and Celtic shamanism, priestess traditions, and Amazonian curanderismo. She practices since 2008 and teaches since 2016. More on Katharina here.
ISRAEL is a curandero (healer) and Ayahuascero from the Yagua lineage, born deep in the Amazon rainforest. He was initiated into the ancestral plant medicine ways by his grandfather, a tribal healer, at age four. After many years of apprenticing with maestros and working in a healing camp in the jungle, he moved to Switzerland in 2020.
